Our Carolinas Telco Federal Credit Union Visa® Gift Cards can be purchased at any branch location and can be used anywhere Visa® Debit Cards are accepted. You can choose any amount, from $10 – $1,000, and unlike cash, it can be replaced if lost or stolen.
Fees Associated with this Card:
- A monthly inactivity fee of $2.95 after 12 consecutive months of inactivity.
- A lost/stolen replacement card is $5.00.
Visa® offers Zero Liability* protection, meaning Visa® will cover any fraud on your account as long as you notify our Credit Union in a timely manner.

Before using your card, we encourage you to register your card and check the balance at my prepaid balance.
If there is not enough value on the card to pay for a purchase, you can pay the difference with a second form of payment. Let the cashier know that you’ll be paying with two forms of payment.
When paying for gas with your gift card, be aware that paying at the pump may post an authorization of $50 or more, and it may not be deleted for several days. To be safe, we suggest pre-paying for gas in the service station with an attendant before pumping.
When using your gift card to pay for services that require a tip, your transaction may be authorized for an additional 20% above your total bill. However, the tip amount is still at your discretion. The actual amount processed on your card will not exceed the amount of the bill plus the tip added by you.
Remember to save your purchase receipt and the card even after you have spent the funds on the card in case you choose to return a purchase. You may need to present your gift card when you return the merchandise. The amount is typically credited back to the card within three to seven business days.
If a purchase is declined, make sure you have sufficient funds on the card for the full value, including tips or taxes. If you have sufficient funds and the card is declined, call 1-866-496-6183.
