Family Holiday Crafts

The holidays are a time to connect with loved ones, and what better way to get into the holiday spirit than with these Family Holiday Crafts! Whether you’re making a DIY snow globe or a snowflake ornament, these crafts are the perfect activity for the whole family to enjoy.

1. DIY Snow Globe

To create this DIY snow globe, glue a plastic figurine of your child’s choice to the inside of the jar lid. Fill the jar with cold water and add 1-2 teaspoons of glitter. You can also add a few drops of glycerin to help the glitter float better. Simply add glue around the rim of the jar and replace the lid. Allow the glue to dry, and enjoy your very own DIY snow globe!

What you need:

  • Small glass jar with lid
  • Plastic figurine(s)
  • Water
  • Glycerin (optional)
  • Glitter
  • Hot glue/superglue

2. Slowflake Ornament

To create these snowflake ornaments, make two Xs with popsicle sticks and glue them together to create a snowflake shape. Now, get creative! Paint your snowflakes and decorate them with glitter and sequins. Finally, take 2-3 inches of string, create a loop, and glue it to the top of the snowflake.

What you need:

  • Popsicle sticks
  • Paint & paintbrushes
  • Glitter and sequins
  • Hot glue
  • String

3. Hot Chocolate Kit

To create this hot chocolate kit, start by grabbing a mason jar of your choice and adding the hot cocoa mix to the bottom of the jar. Next, add mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, or other toppings of your choice. Replace the jar lid and attach a kind holiday message to the lid with string. This craft is perfect to enjoy on your own or gift to a friend!

What you need:

  • Hot cocoa mix
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Chocolate chips
  • Mason jar
  • String
  • Gift tag

4. Family Handprint Christmas Tree
